The dragon Nidhögg wound around the world tree Yggdrasil and gnawed at its roots. This is not a typical dragon from the Viking Age, but more what we associate with a dragon today.
Thor is the Asa god who owns the hammer Mjölner. In Norse mythology, Thor called forth thunder and lightning when he was drawn across the firmament in his chariot, drawn by the goats Tanngnojst and Tanngrisner, and threw his hammer.
